About Galim Pro

Galim Pro is a revamped version of an old website called "Galim" that contains thousands of activities, games, and lessons for students, as well as resources for teachers.
I worked together with the Snunit team to upgrade the site by integrating new tools and technologies that make it easier for teachers to navigate and holistically view the students' statistics while improving the learning experience for the students as well.

Design process

The redesign of the website was a comprehensive and fundamental process, considering the ever-changing worlds of design and technology. We transitioned from a flat and pastel style to a more dynamic color scheme, gradients and a three-dimensional feel. Additionally, many animations were added to the website to make it more lively and interactive. The design was tested and evaluated by focus groups of students and teachers at different stages and was enhanced accordingly.

Website concept

The virtual world of the website is drawn from the water and sea world, but with a twist of a balanced dialogue between sea and land, leaving space for imagination and added exploration.

Colors, fonts and illustrations

The selection of colors and fonts was challenging as the website had to cater for a wide range of ages, and be attractive and engaging for the students, yet also easy to read, professional and adaptable to the various tools that needed to be integrated.

Finally, a classic font- 'Assistant' was chosen for the text and a unique font, 'Tigrisibiri', for the headlines.

The color palette is also diverse with black and white, classic blue, with a twist of green, yellow, and pink.

Animated figure

An animated figure of a pink octopus was chosen for the website and can be found throughout the site in several places including pop-up windows.

Icons for knowledge domains

Unique icons were created to represent various knowledge domains such as mathematics, science, literature, etc.

Content library

A fundamental element that I completely revamped was the content library. It was redesigned to accommodate a user-friendly orientation through search functions, filtering and different display options.

Gamification elements were added to improve the students' learning experience. When they finish a task, they can collect cards and points, and build their own virtual world and reputation.

The content pages were also adapted to the new design:
